Shaking during acceleration

i am totally clueless on this problem since i have tired so many ways of fixing it. during any amount of acceleration, from stop to whenever there is an vibration that wouldn't go away unless i let go the gas. So far i have bought a fresh set of tires, changing the tranny mounts and aftermaket axles. any other ideas on what it can be?

Were the axles new or reman? Reman axles are notorious for this problem.

new aftermarket axles. the weird thing about this problem also is that it tends to be worst at times then other times.

Have you ever cleaned the EGR ports or had it done?

what's the condition of your tires? are they new or have they been balanced lately?

I'm with you right now, I replaced my tires first, just had my axle changed, was ok, but two of my mounts were completely shot so I replaced them but still vibration, a bit less. Ill try the fuel injector cleaner since its a cheap mod. If i cant figure it out i will just buy acura 120 to run some test.

put your car up on a lift and see, when you accelerate, if either of your front wheels wobble. if so, bend hub or axle.

same problem, there have been other threads on this and ive heard either bad cv joint or bad axle. Friend had the same problem in his 2001( i believe) accord and he replaced the axle went away then came back in about 1000 miles.

Axle, cv axle, and half shaft are common terms for the same part. I have seen one post on a technician's forum where they had trouble even with new axles. In this case it was empi brand. I have used this brand with no trouble as have others on this forum. You might try another brand. I really hate making recommendations like this as it's really easy to sit here and guess while you have to spend the time and money. You did do both axles, didn't you?

yeah i did both cv axles already. when i said half shaft, i was speaking on the terms in which the passenger side attaches to the half shaft that connects to the tranny

There have been a few cases of people who had the EGR ports cleaned and the gasket was installed upside down causing similar shaking issues while accelerating.

Your integra and s2k have had EGR, its been on every car since like the 80s.

I asked if you had ever HAD or done it. If you had a code come up for insufficient flow and had brought it in it could have happend then, if not thats not your problem.

My 2003 TL also shudders while accelerating. When you take your foot off the accelerator, the shimmy stops. The dealer has said that it is torque converter shudder, and that I need a new tranny.

Same EXACT problem with my 02. Mechanic said axles were fine. He replaced the rear motor mount and the shaking got better by about 60%. Hmmmmm

Mine feels like a flat front tire almost, only happens while accelerating. It all started when i got a flat, and its been doing it ever since.

Replaced both front tires, it still does it. No check engine light, had ball joints done not too long ago.. My motor mounts are bad, but they never felt like this..I only felt them before when i would accelerate from a dead stop, I could just feel a single thump in the pedal.

Now its a constant vibration felt mainly in the floor during acceleration

I had 2 motor mounts (front and side) and a tranny mount replaced a year ago. They fixed a problem with a clunky feeling I was having when shifting and hitting the gas.

Yesterday I had my rear motor mount replaced, and this is what alleviated alot of the wobble feeling upon acceleration.
