Rusty brake calipers
Rusty brake calipers
both my front calipers have rust inside the piston, they seem to not fully retract after they heat up causeing the pads to stay pressed agaisnt the rotors, which is why my new rotors are starting to warp. anyplace i can get new calipers cheap? or can i fix these?
The inside doesnt matter if they are rusty. Its the surface on the outside(where it contacts the rubber boot.
You can get them at most parts stores reman cheep. You can get the legend 2 piston calipers that are a direct bolt on for like 45 each

Put a block of wood in the caliper so the piston can be pushed out a little- but not farther than if it was in the rotor with pads.
That will allow inspection of the hidden, "outer surface" of the caliper piston. the part with the rubber seal. If anything bad there- you found your problem
I am GUESSING that being an east coast car, and possibly never having the brake fluid flushed could be a factor in some corrosion
Legend 2 piston calipers you say- think I may need to replace mine!

And yep. direct bolt on, just remember to put the right side caliper on the left and left on the right or you wont be able to bleed them properly
