Unhappy Rumbling underneath

Hey, I have a 2003 tl, still under warranty. There is this rumbling underneath my car when it's running. It's not making any noises or turning on any check engine lights. It's more apparent when it's idling. Does anyone know if it's a problem or is it normal?

My car did have a ticking noise coming from the bottom of the rear section of the car. But the dealership didn't find anything wrong with it, and the noise went away. It comes and goes when the weather changes. Sounds like two pieces of plastic are hitting each other and creating the ticking sound.

Also, after the dealership replaced both of my CV joints about a month or so ago, the front driver side suspension squeaks a little. Whenever I get out of the car, I would hear this squeaking sound. Sounds like old wooden floor when you step on it. And when I pushes down the car right about the driver wheel well, it makes the noise. Is my suspension going out?? Should I take it to the dealership and have'em take a look?

i would guess that the rumbling could be the metal covering on the exhaust, as for the squeaking its probably the rubber pieces that are on both sides of the metal rods that are holding the wheel, i dont remember what they are called

The rumbling is your engine telling you to do more mods... its ok just listen to it..... and obey.

Otherwise.... it will stop working.

Hahahaha, that's a good one. Too bad I don't have the money to do any mods. That and I'm already satisfied with it's performance.

As for the squeaking, if it is the rubber piece, will the warranty cover it? I'm thinking about dropping it off at the dealer and have'em take a look at it. What about the rumbling? I mean right now it's not there, but should I check on it when it gets warmer out?

Got the car in this afternoon, went through a lot of crap and still don't know if it will be fixed under warranty. First I got a loaner, drove it to work, then they call me asking me for the extend warranty contract info. I purchased the extend warranty through that dealership, but yet they can't find it out. Luckily someone was home and was able to look it up for me.

Then after ten mins or so, he called me back telling me that the warranty company was closed for the day. The problem with the squeaking was the ball joint, and it will run for around 300 bucks, so they needed authorization. At the end, we have to wait till tomorrow for them to call up the warranty company and see what'll happen then. However, the upside of it is that I managed to get a 07 tl LOADED with only 8 miles as a loaner car. But I have to say, I like the drive of my 03 better though.

Yeah, I was gonna make sure it's got a nice break-in period, but I just couldn't resist.

Finally everything was sorted out with the warranty and what not. The ball joint was replaced but the company wouldn't pay for a couple of nuts and bolts, wtf? With everything including the deductible, the total comes to 108 bucks! Man, this car just keeps racking the bills up.

How many ball joints are there? The only I complained about was the one on the driver side, is there one on each side?? Should I have'em check the other ones too just so I won't have to go back and pay another deductible?
