RPM's problem

Early sunday morning about 1 minute later after starting my car the RPM's started going up and down for no reason , so I turned the car off turn it back on and no more problem. Any ideas what that was about?

Thanks

It's the transmission.

I had to do it.

It's the IACV, like everyone else said.

Is it something I should replace ASAP, i mean will leave me stranded someday if i don't replace it soon? Sounds like a bitch to replace. Is this another common TL problem?

Thanks for the diagram, not sure what to do yet, clean or change because if go through all the trouble of removing stuff, might as well get a new one, also depends on $$$.
