Hi Everyone,

i recently took my car to the dealership and fix tran axle leak seal. My question is do they replace the transmission fluid when they fix this, and if they do how much do they replace? thanks all reply is greatly appreciated.

they should ck the level and adjust as needed to replace whats been lost,
unless you paid for a full change they wont do that

YOU need to do the correct testing- drive 15 minutes on freeway at easy cruise speed
get off and park on level safe ground
shut engine OFF
in PARK -remove dipstick- wipe clean, insert fully- remove and read
Needs to be BETWEEN the 2 upper dots, not at either one,,in between them at that fluid temp
adjust as needed

Thanks the reason I ask is because i have to do a trnasmission change and have to do the 3x3, but if the dealer did one for me already than I only need to do 2. So according to you I still need to do the 3x3 than right? thanks

unless you added dextron 3 fluid to the trans- acura says dont do a 3x3 normally
do a 1x3 qts and thats it

but to answer again-- ck your receipt--they charge ~100 dollars for a 3 qt!!
no reason for them to do a job not specifically authorized
Even back when they installed the trans oil jet kit--it didnt get a fluid change then either!
