Replacing rotted power steering pipes on my 2001 tl
Hi there,
My power steering pipes that lead from the front of the passenger side to the power steering pressure switch are totally rotted and leaking like crazy. I have ordered the part from Acura ($83) and am going to try to do the job this weekend. I have only looked at the scenerio for a bit but it looks like it could be a real pain. Acura wants to bill over 2 hours of labor for this job (yikes). I was hoping for any advice on this job before I take it on.
Thanks Mike

I recently did this on my daughter's 02 tl. Even on a hoist, and dropping the sub-frame a couple inches, it was a pain in the ass. A couple other people here have done this recently, at least one thought it wasn't too bad. If you start it and can't finish, the towing bill will cost at least as much as one of those flat rate hours. This my opinion; a somewhat lazy, ase master mechanic, with enough tools that chuck norris, and god borrow from me.
