Question Replace A/C Filter & Air Filter

I have Acura TL-3 with 75k on it and on my last oil change my dealer gave me a quote of $300 to replace my A/C filter, Air filter and the battery.

I'm assuming replacing battery is rather simple but how do you replace the A/C filter and the Air filter? Is this something I should be able to do easily? Where is the best place to get these parts for my car?

1. Please do a search before inquiring
2. It is called the Cabin Air Filter and the dealership is overcharging you for a 30 minute job that requires a $15 part...
3. Check the DIY section, but since your lazy (I know you are).. here it is... Cabin Air Filter DIY

check the DIY section here for cabin air filter- thats the AC filter- takes about 20 minutes at home to remove glovebox and change out the filters- they come in a 2pack - the filters sit side by side in a slide out tray - parts cost $20 at any parts store
The engine air filter is under its cover in the engine compartment-
a + screwdriver is all you need to undo 4 screws- lift top- remove old filter- inspect for debris like leaves- use a shop vac or the house vac hose to suck leaves out- install filter- tighten screws
Expect the same on the cabin filters- leaves and crud will need to be vacuumed out
The battery is simple too
Make sure you have the radio and nav codes before disconnecting- they go into lockdown mode when power is removed
Battery depends on where you drive- harsh winters want beefier better battery

Yes I guess I was being lazy but not lazy enough to let the dealer do it for $100+. After I posted this message I did do a search and found the same article you referred. Very informative. Thanks!

If you cant read the owner manual and look under the hood to see whats required to change an engine air filter-
!!especially when the method is posted in this very thread!!!--
then you should let someone else do it- like the neighbor kid

heres a pic

its pretty much simple unscrew 4 screws ,lift cover .replace. done.
only thing with mine, 06 tl, i didnt have the (b) clips to deal with since the hose is not there. the screw were too tight for a screwdriver so i hada use a socket wrench with extension bar since 2 screw was deep 8") inside engine. the side edge cover was in the way n needed to be remove also.
