Recommended starter to buy?

My '00 TL stop starting up after changing out the battery a few weeks ago. I changed out the starter battery cable and it didn't help with the problem. I think the starter is dead. Which starter would you recommend buying? I'm planning to sell the car as soon as I get it fixed. Car has 75,000+ miles.

are you sure its not the ignition switch going bad?
99s had a prob with that- continued onto 00 no doubt
cheap and easy fix compared to starter

what exactly does it do - any sound- click when you turn key to start?
what was it doing recently???

a junkyard- now called auto dismantler and recycling will have decent price
parts store will test yours free once its removed, or on car if you can get there- they run a full electrical system test!
ck parts store price online

About a month ago, my battery died and I had that replaced. It was working fine for about 2 weeks. I took my car out one day and it wouldn't start up after I parked it. I waited about an hour for the tow truck guy to come and when I started the car again it magically started. My car was working fine for another week until I tried to start it up at home and all I get is a clicking sound. All electronics work fine and the headlights don't flicker as I start it.

How do you know if the ignition switch is going bad? I tried starting it in neutral and I still get the same clicking sound.

Napa wants to charge me $190+ for a remanufactured Bosch starter with solenoid. They told me I can get about $55 credit if I give them my starter.

I'm gonna go ahead and take out the starter then take it to Napa to see if it is working or not.

Bought the NSA starter on Amazon. Comes with 2 year warranty plus roadside assistance. Just installed it today, so far the car is working great again. You definitely need a lot of torque to get those nuts out.
