Rear view mirror fixed, thanks to this Forum!

I have a 1999 Tl and I have learned a lot from this forum. It's amazing all the information that is available in here. I just bought my TL a couple of weeks ago and noticed the notorious rear view mirror problem, contacted Magna Dooley from the information posted in this forum and they sent me a brand new one out in a week ...free of charge. I replaced the mirror in about 15 minutes.
If anyone needs a low beam bulb (6000), I have one used.
One had burnt out so I replaced them both with the oem 4300's
If $20 is fair (including shipping)..whoever wants it, let me know.
Thanks for the help,
you people are awesome!
Dan

Definitely read the mirror thread:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78061

I didn't read that thread for the longest time since I thought it was a joke. When I did finally read it I found that a number of these mirrors have leaked and that the caustic fluid inside can damage the console and leather seats.

The thread contains all of the information needed to request a free replacement. Like dharhigh1's experience, my replacement mirror came within days.

thought magna donnelly stopped sending out replacements b/c of too many people emailing them. Glad to read that they started again...a company should replace a defective product
