so I was just wondering if anyone has gotten a random cat converter and had problems with it? I got mine in august and I got it put on at the dealership, and a couple days ago my CEL came on, went to the dealership and they said it was the converter. I'm probably going to end up gettin the OEM but I just wanted to know if they had any problems with theirs and what the ended up doing.

 

Random technologies warranty covers check engine light up to 50,000 miles. Sometimes just trying another converter will work. If not, try to find someone who knows what a spark plug non fouler is, and who is willing to install it if you can't. Excelerate [a vendor on this site] has ones that work. Most of the ones I've seen in parts stores have to be drilled out to 1/2". Some people on this site have had cel problems with rt cats, others no problem.
