Radio issues
2002 TL S type. stereo question. 6 CD player works great. The problem I have is the Volume knob on the radio itself does not work, only the steering wheel mounted control works, and no matter what pre-set I choose (am,fm) it plays only 1 channel even though the digital readout shows another station #. At a loss, any suggestions??

Everyone is going to recommend tossing that cd player for a more updated aftermarket unit, but if you insist in keeping it stock you can swap it out for another factory unit just make sure you can get the radio code if not look for another one.

Hit up your local stereo electronics shop and they'll be able to sell ya whatever ya can afford. Also check out Crutchfield as they have a great product selection at reasonable costs. If ya still are satisfied with the OEM unit, there's ton's of them out there for cheap.

as Erik noted- if you get a used oe unit- you MUST HAVE the security code for it or its worthless, get the VIN# the unit came out of just in case
Better value is aftermarket which has new stuff all the time - be aware the Bose speakers we have now -each has its own amp, your head unit choices may be affected by that
ck our special section on radios for more info- better informed people on that subject
