I have solved a lot of problems with my 2000 TL from this web site but have never read of the problem I am now having. During driving notice that radio is not playing, then car will not go into park. If you leave car setting usually it will then go into park later and you can start car. I can use the screwdriver in slot to put in park to start car but then I need to use it again to put in drive. I would like to solve problem. Dealer has installed shift cable, complete console shifter assy, two ignition switches and still has not fixed problem. Mechanic is stumped and says he cannot fix unless it will not shift. Which it always does when I leave car. Does anyone know solution?

 

I think I have solved problem. Took car to local mechanic and he found a loose wire going to the back of fuse box. radio has not gone off since this and shifter is working fine. Thank for all the visits to this post. Maybe this will sove someone elses problem.
