Radio Dead

This afternoon I caught my son placing quarters into the tape desk opening on my 02 TL Type S. The cassette seemed to be jammed. But when I removed the suspect quarter the cassette did eject.

Trouble is now that the entire radio does not seem to have any power. The security light does not blink and I do not get any message when attempting to power up the radio.

I checked the fuse and it appears to be ok.

Any help appreciated. I'd like to try all possibilities before taking to dealer and ending up with a new radio.

well you found one coin god knows how many where put in before you caught him.......the one you didn't notice problaly caused a short and blew the unit....or i know HU ususally have a fuse on the unit itself......i know the stock one doesn't have one on the outside but maybe theres an internal one......pull out the HU and open it up.....or throw it out and upgrade/replace.......

Radio was repaired at the dealer. It turned out that there were several more quarters inside the radio that were shorting it out. Repair cost was about $200.

You probably could've found another headunit for cheaper.
