Smile Radio Code help !!

What's up tl enthusiasts , I had my tranny done this past weekend (03 TL type-s). And obviously they disconnected the car battery. So I got the correct code I punch it in and it won't go through , I've done this before and it would go through !! But now I'm wondering why is not, anything impart that I'm not doing right ? Maybe because I have a new tranny ? Idk , please help and guide me , thank you

pull the radio antenna out of the radio then put the code in. once it accepts it plug the antenna back in.

So I'm assuming that I have to take the radio out of the socket In Order to take off the antenna right ?

no need to remove radio- you can reach behind and grab the connection- they figured on this happening

sometimes you can go to an underground parking lot, and that disrupts the antenna signal enough --allows radio code to go in
Its freaky and no one can explain why--only certain years have issue with it

Mine wouldn't take the code either, so I tried the underground parking garage trick and it worked.

iirc its on driver side, just reach back there or use an inspecton mirror to find it
plugs into the back of radio OR the cable has inline connection

some years seem to work with the garage method--its very strange
dont have to do it on mine,,,dont care beyond that

anyone with experience chime in?

look at most shopping malls--anything with a few story parking will have enough cover to work

Go to the lowest level
