I just bought My TL TYPE S 03' But the Radio is asking for a CODE I have looked in the Owners Manual and nothing is writen down, it is a used car of course I have called my local dealer and they want me to take it in so that they can pull the unit to get the serial # off of the back in order to get the code??? IS there a better way to do this so that I can save me a couple of hundred of bucks!

 

with the radio off press and hold the 1 and 6 button the turn the radio on and you will get the serial #

 

now anyone has the trick in getting the NAVI code for a used USA car now in CANADA, the dealer gave me a code which was wrong and I really need to get this going.

I found my radio serial number when I pulled the long wood grain trim piece on the right side of the center consol off. It is on a white sticker then the dealer can give you the radio code.

 

I dont have this problem but for feature reference if I ever by chance loose my card how long do you hold down 1 and 6 and do you turn on the radio while holding them down or do you just turn it on after holding them down.
