Radio Code
I recently had to have body work done on my TL, and the techs needed to disconnect the battery, well when I go to input the radio code given to me it wouldn't take. After the 10 attempts, I waited to try again and it still will not talke. Is there a "special" way you are to input the 5 digit code?
Silly question but where is the radio antenna located? I looked in my owner's manual for a diagram but can't find it.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Are you the original owner of the vehicle or second owner???. My guess is either you entered the correct code in incorrectly (wich is almost impossible considering how easy it is to enter) and thats why the radio locked you out or........ its the wrong code!! Im alost sure its not the right code. Its posssible the radio was replaced at some point under warranty and the new code was never given to you. Who knows?? To reset the radi you can remove the 7.5 amp fuse located on the fuse box under the hood; you cant miss it its labeled on the fuse box as "back up", remove the fuse for about 20 sec and reinstall, turn radio on and retry the code that you have. If it still wont take it, you definetly have the wrong code but hopefully it does work, it would save you some time and money.
Actually i am the second owner, and you were right the code that was initally given to me at the time of purchase was soooo wrong. I had obtain the number from the radio by pushing the 1 & 6 and called it into the dealership where they gave me another code which was also WRONG.
So i took my car back to the body shop since the maintenance to pull the radio would still be covered under my insurance, had them call around which they said they had to contact FIVE differnet Acura places before getting to the MAIN place to which they got a totally different code and it worked!
Soooo, needless to say I have that radio code stored at 3 different places!
Thanks for the help everyone!

I'm a second owner of a '02 TL-P and wanted to say that I had the right code (verified by radio serial #), but even when the dealer reset the fuse couldn't get the radio code to work, but when they took it to the back they got it to work, hmmm. They said something about allowing x amount of time before attempting to enter a code and something else about grounding out something???
