Cool question about the side motor mount

well, i fixed about 70% of the probs wit the clunking, changed the front and theres a big diff, but at times when i go over a bump or so, i can hear a clunk. today i went under the car, nothing is loose nor wrong or showin signs of damage. so i looked at the side mount, since the rear is hard to see, the side one, is basically leaning forward of the car, the bracket n all, so i got a big screw driver and started to slightly pry against it, theres a good amount of play, and the rubber piece of the back side of the mount is fairly loose, so i was wondering is that normal or what, should there be any play at all on the mount or what.....thx

Look for cracking in the rubber. the rubber should also be sitting in the center of the mount it sits in
