Lightbulb Pull up the Serial Code on the Radio 02/03 Model

I've been looking through the forums and someone mentioned that you could pull up the serial code to the radio without getting to the back of the stereo, but I never found how to... so I went to the dealer today and an employee showed me. Sorry if thread has been already made, I didn't see any

This was done on an 02 TL-P Non-Navi, I don't know if this is the case for the Navi TL's.

1. Put Your key in the ignition and turn. (You don't need to turn on the car)

1. While your stereo is off, click and hold 1 and 6 simultaneously.

2. Click the On Button while you have 1 and 6 pressed.

3. Then There will be 2 sets of letters/numbers that pop up on the screen.

4. Show these digits to your dealer and they will pull up a radio code(s) for your car.

They were going to charge me $80 to reach behind my radio to get the serial code... but they mentioned pulling up the serial code onscreen.

I was watching the guy pull up the radio code, and gave me 2 to try, the second code he gave me was a generic one, I haven't tried it because the one specifically for my car worked.
