Problem playing burnt CD's?

Hey guys. I have a 2003 TL (non Type-S) with the stock 6 disc CD changer. When I try to play a burnt CD... the last few tracks play terribly. The songs skip really really bad kinda like the CD itself is scratched. But the weird part is, its only the last few songs on the CD. Has anybody had this problem before?

This happened to me. It turns out that the CD-R's that I bought were defective. I bought a different kind of CD-R and everything works fine.

is it just the 2003 TL-S that can play burnt cd's? I've tried playing them in my 02 and no luck? or is just the discs that I use which is memorex?

okay... i burnt a bunch of Sony CD-R's... and they are one of the many that play horribly. then, i tried Maxell CD-R Music... i guess they're specifically meant for music files... and they worked fine. then i bought a 2nd batch of the exact same CD's from the exact same store... and they too play bad. this is getting really confusing.

My 02 TL plays burned CDs just fine. As did the 99TL I test drove. As does the stock CD player in our 98 Camry. I've always wondered why people have problems with this when I never have.

i have used memorex since the knock off ones werent always too great.

i find that slowing down the burn speeds on generic media will remedy more often than not.

word to the wise, if you plan on labeling them don't use the stick on cd labels. depending on the existing cd coating (top, not burn side) if you stick a label on you may get the cd stuck in the player! *happened the first month i got the car*

good luck

you probably just had buffering problems when burning the cd.

different batches will play. so you can buy a memorex on time and go get the same one next and it wont work the second time. its really hit or miss.

I have a 2001 and cd-rs haven't worked for a few years now. It started by taking forever to read the cd-r or if I skipped the first few tracks, but then it just stopped.

I took it as a sign to get an ipod, so I did

EDIT:
forgot to mention that if it's the end of the cd, it could be a calibration error on your burner (the cd spins faster on the outside of the disc) or you're over burning, which doesn't always work.

That helped a little bit, but everything eventually stopped working. Burned at 8x instead of 52x. I guess there's less deviation when the disc is spinning slower.

Ok so i just realized that I don't have a problem playing burnt cd's. what i was thinking is that the cd player doesn't play burnt mp3 cd's. should the system play burnt cd's in an mp3 format?
