Preventative maintenance

Hi My name is newb...lolI've read a number of threads on this site and can attribute most of my knowledge of my Acura TL to Acurazine!! Great site!I have not had time to go through as many of the threads here as i would like and decided to start a thread in order to see what is recommended as preventative maintenance or maybe just for "good measure". My TL is an 02 TL with 122k on it. sounds good looks alright (rollin without front bumper right now)So feel free to throw any of your ideas and recommendations here so that all the Newbies like me can keep our Acura's going for at least a few hundred thousand more miles!!Thanks all!!

I'd start with a front bumper.

and a Change of Oil.

Just Kiddin;
Well lets see... @120K+ You Should have done your Timing Belt Job + Valve Adjustment.

From That I would say Going for an Oil Change every 7K with the Brand of Choice (Im Using Mobil 1 Syn "EP"). And follow the Timeline from the User Manual...

With that you could have a Happy and Long-Lasting TL for Sure!

Thats my 2c

its all about the 105 service timing belt water pump spark plugs valve adjust maybe other belts and tensioners

probably do 3 qts atf now while you are at it
clean the egr passage and ports in intake manifold
clean IACV while the TB is off the car with the manifold

Seafoam 1 can to half tank- do twice, tune up in a can!

any known history on the car?
register with www.owner.acura.com
and 1 800 382 2238x5 ask them if all open recalls are taken care of

Cool

*nods at all sarcasm with contented smile* I had no idea anyone was gonna mention the front bumper...goin to pick and pull to get replacement bolts/connectors for.bumper (still have fully intact). So I need to do belts and valve adjustments for sure. Already did seafood once (one can to just <1/2 tank) gonna do.it again once I get under half of.this.tank. what is iacv? And how do I get to the TB to clean it and what do u recommend to.clean it?.

TB =throttle body at end of intake manifold
IAC = idle air control inside bottem of TB unit- flip over to access and clean
do the intake manifold egr port passage cleaning job with the TB- its all related labor for those-
