Power Steering Fluid
Power Steering Fluid
I own a 2002 TL Type-S, I am having some issues with the Power Steering Fluid, it runs low in 3-4 months, I took it to the dealer and they didn't find anything wrong with it, told me there is no leaks anywhere, I am not sure what could be the issue. I don't abuse the power streering in any way while driving.
Just to be clear, you are having to add how much fluid every 3 months, 1/4 inch low, 1/2 inch low, all the way empty?
If its losing fluid its leaking!
Could be a small leak on the rack or a fitting
EXPERTS: Common for the rack to be losing a little fluid?, my 01 was down a touch when I bought it

Well if you have to add fluid every 3-4 months your Leaking it somewhere. Either bring it back to the dealer and tell them to look better, find a different dealer or start looking for it your self. The rack and pump cant burn up the fluid. It has to be leaking somewhere. Start with ALL the fittings and pipes and hoses.
Oh ..Do you live in a very cold winter state? In Montreal , Canada when it's -25oC and if
you do not heat up your car and fluid proprely ..I see my Power streering fluid spill out from the red cap........................
