Possible transmission problem?

Ever since I got my 99 TL I've been working out some of the little kinks it has and whatnot, but one of the problems I have yet to be able to figure out or find any help for is this weird shifting thing. The transmission works 100% fine when driving around, but whenever I am shifting from reverse to drive sometimes, or even just from park to drive, sometimes my transmission will double shift. Basically it jerks like it shifted, then jerks again and goes into gear. Has anyone heard of this problem before and should I be concerned or not? I've never had any problems with it other than that. So should I sell it soon or keep it?

BTW I'm out of the warranty period.

The best thing for you guys to do is take it in to Acura and have them diagnos the problem. My car was out of warranty for a year as of August 20 and Acura replaced my transmission for FREE today, I paid nothing. Go to Acura.com and register your car with Owners Link it will tell you everything you need to know about your vehicle such as recalls. Oh yea on Owners Link in your profile it will show a letter regarding the 99-2003 transmission failures. Good luck Oh yea Sellitus my Acura was a 1999 to so they will take it in to consideration.

Thank you guys for the response. I've decided to go to a dealer soon to see if they can help, and if not I'm just going to cut my losses and get rid of it. I'm sad because I really love my Acura, but my job and life depends on my transportation, and if this is going to be an ongoing problem I'm just going to split. I know that when they replace the transmission anyways it's just the same thing with the same eventual problems. Anyway, thank you guys for your replies and I'll keep you updated!

I called the acura ownerlink yesterday and they had claimed my car has already been serviced under the transmission recall and any and all repairs after the recall is the owners job. Does it matter at the dealership if there is a recall that has been performed? I am planning on taking it in either way but i was just curious to know what I should expect going in there when i plea my case.

It doesn't, there are people that have gotten 3 and 4 transmission replacements.
