Possible corrosion in power locks

Possible corrosion in power locks
I have an issue with my power locks and anything that uses an acuator. I originally thought it might be my actuators but I no longer believe this. When I open the door with the remote, the driver's door always opens. If I use the switch inside the car, the locks will work most times. But after hitting the switch again, it seems to struggle and the locks will move slightly but not all the way up or down(including driver's door). If I try a third time, the locks won't move but only make a sound. I'm thinking that I have a corrosion problem in the wiring of the power locks. Given, my explanation, where can I look to check for a possible defective wire? I assume it might be by the main source (what ever/where ever that is).

the first place i would look is the wires at the switch and the actuator

I got the same problem with my driver side lock . I think the actuator is not
pushing enough force to the vertical rod to open .Bad actuator .
I'm still trying to remove the actuator but can not figure it out how ??
Do I have to replace the actuator only or the latch and rods and actuator come as a unit. ?
Could someone confirm ?
Thanks
