had a squealing sound all the way home on the highway. after getting off i realized tranny was not in drive but i dont know what gear it was in. i put it in drive and it stopped but drove about 20 miles. it sounded like a brake squeal. did i do any damage. please respond any info is appreciated. i am bombed

Try this.. Get it up to 60 and throw it into park. If you didn't know what gear you were in, you shouldn't be driving. But, You're obviously a loser, or an annoying flamer.

Here's what you do.

Get drunk again, hop on the highway and try to duplicate the situation. Look in the mirror, identify the problem, then proceed to drive into the nearest bridge abutment.

Problem solved. A car will be lost, but there are casualties in a war against dumbasses. Stop trolling.
