Passenger side mirror doing something ridiculous
Hi guys, I'm new here, so hopefully I can describe my problem well enough =\
I have an 02 TL-S, around 62K on it.
My problem is the passenger side mirror. Whenever my mirror switch is in either right or middle position, and i put the car in reverse gear, the passenger side mirror turns all the way inwards (left) (so that i can see my passenger door and only my door in it), and then when it can't turn in anymore, the motor keeps trying to pull it in and it starts clicking. When I put the car back in drive the mirror stops clicking, but then I have to manually adjust it back to how it was.
If the mirror switch is on the left, the passenger mirror does not move.
I'm pretty sure the mirror isn't supposed to pull in and stare at my passenger door, but is that mirror supposed to move at all when I put the car into reverse? How do I fix it, i'm afraid the motor will break one of these days if it keeps trying to force the mirror after it can't go anymore! HELP.
Also another but minor problem im having is the steering audio controls, they are either doing the opposite of what they should, or just ignoring me. I heard there was a PDF posted here on how to fix it but I searched and can't find it. Does anyone have a link?

If the switch is in the middle, the mirror will normally till down so you can see your wheel when doing parallel parking. You can leave the switch either left or right and the mirror will stop movng when putting in reverse. It sounds like the tilting gear is broken or out of gear.

When the switch is in the middle, neither mirror moves.
When it is in the left position, the left mirror will tilt downward, and when it is in the right position the right mirror will tilt downward, to assist in parking.
Acura only allows one mirror at a time to tilt down, as a safety measure so you can still see oncoming traffic with at least one of the mirrors.

LOL thats even worse, then my car has it VERY "bass ackwards".
In the middle and right position, the right mirror does its weird thing, and in the left no mirror moves.

New ride...Acura MDX 2013
^^yup^^ mine started going up when I put in reverse so I'd be looking into the sky , then it started moving whenever it wanted!! even when I was driving , now it doesn't move at all in reverse but I can still adjust with the control

That weird thing happen to my driver side mirror only i.e. motor keeps trying to pull it out and it starts clicking ...try to reset the 2 seat memory position ( check your owner's manual for instructions ) and remember to set your Acura remote to ON position ...That will cure the problem ..
