Painting Wheels?

I've decided that instead of buying new rims, I would like to try to fix my current ones. They have really bad curb rash and unfortunately I'm on a budget.

What I was wondering is if any of you guys have tried to paint/refinish your wheels.

How did it go? What was the process? Would you do it again?

Thanks!

No money.....just sand, prep and paint 'em with a quality heat resistant product.

I know its an older thread, but I just found a site "dipyourcar.com" and they have different colors of Plasti-dip too. I have a gold TL and was thinking about going with the metallic "anthracite" color. The guy that had it before me used black, and I just dont think it goes with the gold very well. However, the he Plasti-dip'd the emblems and stuff, and they look pretty good in black... go figure
