Paint Question

Hey guys,

My black 2001 TL is starting to have a little paint fading in a few small areas on the car. If I want to paint these areas, can someone tell me the proper way to go about doing this? I can work on engines, but I have never done any body work or painting. Any advice would be appreciated.

it takes a skilled person to properly blend in the paint.

Yeah, painting is a skill that DIY'ers have a hard time to duplicate the desired results of a pro. Spot repairs are difficult to blend in to the existing finish. Ya sometimes can make it look even worse than before. Stick with the lower and less obvious areas if ya do try. Maybe some light buffing will help ? Any pics of the car's surface ?

Here is a small section on the top of the car just above the door. I live in Texas so the sun has just beaten it up...
