Got the code over the weekend after my "maintenance light" came on my 01 tl. I got the new pressure switch installed and cleared the light. A day later, the "check engine light" came on. Why would the code cause two different lights to come on? I know how to clear the maintenance light, but is there a way to clear the check engine light? From all my reading on here, seems as though if the problem comes back fairly quick then the tranny is going and its not the actual switch. Any help would be appreciated!

 

the maitenance light was the oil change reminder- based on miles since last reset

you happen to get a CEL after that,,thats life
Go get the codes read again, every clue helps diagnose

to clear codes remove CLOCK fuse on passenger end of dash for 1 minute
thats the secret backup power to the ecu and forces a reset and relearn
