P0740 @55mph and up???
The car has been running mostly fine, every once in a while it does that low idle on start people have been talking about on here and reverse takes a second to actually catch also it clicks when brakes are applied at slow speeds (guess thats not fine now that I see it all written out but its been normal operation for a while) but recently the check engine and TCS lights came on on the interstate, I pulled the CB to reset them and they stay off until I get 55mph or over, at that point both lights turn back on and stay on till its shut off then just CEL is on next start up but at 55 the TCS light comes back on. Whats going wrong? The fluid is full in the tranny which was step one from Auto Zone i dont know what cables to check for loose connections or where this solenoid is it talks about.
Funny side note, Auto Zone in Tallahassee checked it and the guy stood by the computers diagnostic saying my glow plugs were bad, after briefly trying to convince him otherwise I went to a different Auto Zone. Any other questions or help with any of the problems will be greatly appreciated.

Bring it to the dealer with that code showing. Thats a trans code. Are you still under the 7year 9 month 109k warranty extension?

Its a trans code. the torque converter clutch lock up is beginning to degrade and fall
apart and will soon cause slippage. You can pull the solenoids out of the trans and clean the screens, replace the external filter (00-03 models only) and do a few drain fills to "maybe" buy you some time but the only thing that will solve it is most likely a overhaul of the trans and a new tq converter.

A/T Solenoid Replacement
Criteria
NOTE: This article applies to ’01–03 3.2CLs,
’01–04 MDXs, ’02–04 RSXs, ’99–03 3.2TLs,
’04 TLs, and ’04 TSXs.
The diagnostic procedures in our service manuals
were written before we had solenoid replacement
data.
To cut down on unnecessary solenoid
replacement, don’t replace solenoids if any of
these criteria are met:
• The odometer has more than 20,000 miles.
• The vehicle has a reman A/T.
• The ATF is contaminated with friction material
or metal.
• The axle seals are leaking or the differential
carrier bearings are loose.
• The A/T makes grinding or whining noises.
Most likely you will need a transmission.

Well mine first came on driving from Arkansas to Minnesota, probably in central Iowa. I made it up to the twin cities stayed for xmas then drove to Florida on it, it has been being driven since then and currently it is being driven in Arkansas again after many trip in Florida from Ft. Walton Beach area to Panama City each time getting about 150 miles on it, so from the light to now I would guess about 2500-3000 miles and you still cant feel that there is anything wrong with it...
