Work on the temp sensor issue first then reset the ECU.
The temp sensor is at the bottom of the transmission, its a 2 wire sensor.
Is the D5 light blinking ?

Thanks

The D5 is not blinking, but trans is slipping bad, thinking about 3x3 transmission fluid change, but I don't have the time so may bring it in, not sure what that will cost and if its worth it. In the meantime I think I made a mistake by putting Lucas Oil trans fix stop slip in

I think at this point in time anything you do is not going to help. Your transmission will need either rebuilt or you need to get an AV6 swap.

The sooner you fix the issue rather than try a bandaid fix, the sooner you can start driving your car again.

Dont bother with the 3x3 It wont fix a worn out clutch pack.
You can use sport shift to skip the slipping gear for now until you find a transmission.
