Hello all, I just purchased a 1999 Acura TL about a month ago and the key that was provided is a very boring looking aftermarket key. Does anyone know if the keys provided by the Acura dealerships the actual Acura logo keys? The only Acura logo transponder key I could I could find on eBay is for the 2004-2006 TLs (the key cut looks the same so I am assuming the transponder chip uses a different frequency or something of that sort). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Yes you can buy some from acura but its not cheap. My 2000 TL when I bought it used also had one of those aftermark keys that says ilco on it and then i have an acura one. The acura key is my main key.

 

Thankfully my car came with the 3 original keyes that came with it.

 

I went to the dealership on Saturday and they cut and programed a key that looked just like the OEM keys for only 25.00. I'm now using the OEM Acura logo key as my main key

 

That's a good deal!
