2001 TL.
Shifts fine through out all gears except starting off. If you just let of the brake and let it go then give it gas it works golden but if you push the gas anywhere over half on the start off there is a jerk to get going. Want to know if anybody else has this issue. Now this baby has 170K on it. I just took ownership from my father. It had the transmission replaced at 112K in 2004. Thanks in advance for any answers.

 

That sounds like its the motor mounts which is common on our vehicles. I recently ordered all 5 motor mounts for $199 shipped from www.sonsacura.com I know I didnt need all 5, but just wanted to make sure.

 

Just to clarify... If the motor mounts "went bad" what would the end result be?

 

A bad motor mount will have the symptoms that you are describing.

You will only feel from the start. If you accelerate, you will hear a thud.
