...Is this normal...

Hello acuraziners just picked up a 99tl.. Need help...When my car is in idle.. i noticed a ticking sound coming from engine bay... I looked around and found where the ticking is coming from... its a relay ... is this normal? thanks for all of your help

Yes its very common. Its the purge control solenoid. Its like 30 bucks at the dealer and a 5 min job if you want to get rid of it. It wont effect any thing if you dont.

thanks fsttyms1.. i appreciate it... i just got the car and have been stressin about some things.... im really petro about car issues... i like my car fully functional with no problems.. actually its 4 my wife and the kids. she sometimes drives 2 and a half hrs to go visit her family gotta make sure the car doesnt leave her and the kids...cant afford payments rite now. thanks again....
