NO HEAT. Blowing cold

Ok. I thought this would be an easy fix. I figured there would be air in the system because my antifreeze was almost gone. Filled it back up. Bled the system, now I got heat. 2 weeks later my, my heat suddenly stops working again.
Well maybe my thermostat is stuck open, so I changed the thermostat. Still no heat. I bled the hell out of the system but still nothing.
what do you think it is

I had a similar problem. In my case, the water valve between the cooling system and the heater core was stuck shut.

I was thinking about that. Did you replace the valve. How did you solve the problem

I had the same thing, but I just broke the valve free and worked some silicone lubricant into it. That was a few years ago and I haven't had issues with it since.

I used the method that Arkady suggested. shortly after I saw that the parts associated with this fix were relatively inexpensive so when I had a little extra money to spend I replaced the to/from hoses and valve itself so that I wouldn't have to worry about any of them failing when I was out on the road trip somewhere.

I think the original lasted me 17 years and if the second does as well then it will have outlived the rest of the car for sure.

Would love to come back and eat these words someday

Thats the crazy thing. I have manually pushed the lever back and forth - but no heat. Maybe its broken internally. Where did you get your part? Did buy Acura or Aftermarket

I just touched the 2 hoses coming from the heater core, they are hot. So that means my antifreeze is flowing, right. I don't have heat no matter which direction I put it in. I don't know

.1. Change Thermostat
2. Bled/Burp the system
3. Radiator and cap new.

Have you checked that the motor to move the valve is actually moving it? if it is than I'd replace the valve part #1 here. make sure that the part fits your vehicle (in case you have a 99 or 2000 tl).

If not, I would examine the motor assembly to see if it is an electrical or gearing issue; if you go this route and it's mechanical (the gears inside) it can be rotated 180 degrees and used more (I did this one too).

probably not your problem, but it's common to not get heat unless you go all the way to 90 degrees. IOW even set to 89 the valve won't move. I can temporarily fix it with silicon spray on the valve and cable.

I have inspected everything. I went under the passenger side to see if the blend door actuator was moving, I fixed it about 2 years ago. The cable doesn't move the lever, so I guess I will concentrate on that

If the blend door actuator isn't working=NO HEAT.

That's what was wrong with mine. Had to reach under the dash find the mixing valve and twist it back and forth to get it to work. Also sprayed it with some white lithium grease to keep it from sticking.
