No Blower Motor....Please help
I hope I'm in the right section. I hopped in my '99 TL today after work, and no climate control. The display is operating and all functions are in order, but no compressor kicked on, and no blower motor. I checked for fuses, but where are they? I couldn't find any of them other than the one that controlled the display. Maybe I'm missing something simple. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
common failure is blower motor power wire under front edge of glovebox
the connector gets worn -burnt inside or backside of itself- from tight wires
unplug it and look for damage--
acura sells an `update kit` with longer wires and 2 new connectors--just splice in and go- for about 20 bucks
next prob is the resistor for the fan,,sometimes the power prob kills it too!
remove cabin filter to locate cabin fan, and the resistor is mounted on the plate there
Our DIY section will lead you thru all this
ck owner manual for correct fuse
dont have a book?? register at www.owners.acura.com
need cars VIN for free download of your years owner manual
