newbie Q about side airbag?

hi guy i m new in this TL forums..anyway i just got my TL S 03 today and how come some time i see the SIDE AIRBAG off light come on,is something wrong with mine?or i must do something wrong?

If the passenger is leaning to the side too much, it will disable the side airbag and light up the warning sign.

If there's no object in the seat, then it's a bad sensor.

mine is the same on my 2001 tl. Very sparatic. Is that a warranty thing?

Do you have anything in the set, such as a bookbag, groceries etc? If so then remove them from the seat.
