Newbie has question

Hi all, I just purchased a 2002 TL and have a question. I am trying lying upside down on the passenger side, to access the air conditioning filter. I have removed five screws that seem to secure the plastic plate that I understand the filter to be inside of. Nothing moves, the plastic does not budge when I try to pull it down.
Can anyone point me to or give me clear instructions of what proceedure, what screws, need to be done to access the filter?
thanks in advance

Put those 5 screws back first before you do anything, then follow the excellent DIY bkzjimmy linked for you. You don't need the dremel tool to cut the plastic, just snip it with some diagonal cutters. You will be amazed how dirty your cabin filters are!!
