I went to drive my car and my dash, radio, nav shut off then came back on like 6 or 7 times. I went and looked under the hood with the car running and i would hear a click from the fuse area and thats when it would shut off. i also noticed the accessories would slow down and the fans would turn off. Does this sound like alternator, or could it be fuse/bad connection? Anybody have any experiences with this?

Also while i'm asking. For a little while now my aftermarket radio will go crazy. it started where the stations would change on its own and now it escalated to the volume changing, track changing, and i cant operate the head unit. i have my ipod on shuffle just to listen to music. Could this be related? if not anybody know the problem? Thanks for any help

 

Maybe your car is possessed? J/k I would have said ignition switch. What year are you? But that wouldn't make your radio act like that. Was it a recent install? Maybe something got crossed or maybe you need a cross! Lol. Trying to help. Keep us informed.

 

I think the cross is my best bet. I'm an 03 and after some more research it does sound like the ignition switch. The radio is probably a separate problem i just added that info just in case. The radio has done that for a while but i dont feel like taking it all apart again. Thanks for the reply.

i actually cant get the dash to go out anymore. Does anybody know how i test if its the ignition switch?and does the steering wheel have to come off to replace
