My maintance light flashes for a few seconds when i turn my car on and, also when my car is cold my emergency brake light stays on for a few minute. Car has 65,000 miles whats going on with my ride?

 

its ONLY a dummy light. nothig to worry about. There is more abou it in your manual.

to reset it
you hold the trip and reset buttons in THEN while holding them in turn the key to the run position (2 clicks on the key) and KEEP holding the 2 buttons in till the light turns off (about 10 seconds) if you turn the key and then push the buttons in you will mess with the outside temp readout


as for the brake light check the fluid level, and double check that the float on the lid moves freely

 

What exactly happens when you "mess with the outside temp readout"?

 

you change the outside temp. If you change that it wont read accuratly. doing it the opposite way mentioned is the way to adjust for the temp gauge being inaccurate

 

Ah... I thought it might have something to do with changing celius to farenheit
