My TL is now 7 yrs old w/70,000 on it and it may be about time for
a coolant system, timing belt/water pump service.

Can anyone recommend a reputable shop in the Portland, OR area
other than a stealership?

There's an independent guy named Paul Reidy that owns and runs Orenco Station Import Auto Repair. The shop is in Hillsboro, on Corneluis Pass Road, just South of Cornell. The number is (503) 533-5966.

Great service, good prices, very good reputation. Do a Google search for him or his shop and you'll read some good reviews of his work.
