Mystery Coolant Leak

Hey there,

I'm trying to help a co-worker with a 2000 TL with the 3.2L engine. We noticed some fresh and dried up pools of antifreeze coating the engine (and I think the starter) directly below the EGR valve....perhaps about 6 inches directly below the bottom of the EGR to be exact. I can't see any source for the leak though. He's losing coolant at a rate that requires the overflow tank to be topped off once a week or so.

Any ideas?

Check the collant hose . Tiny hole leaking at high pressure.
There are about 6 of them.

Based on the location, sounds like it might be from one of the throttle body coolant hoses. There are two coolant hoses (one in and one out) that connect to the throttle body. Check those for leaks or loose clamp connections.

Wrap the hos with foil wrap.
Drive the car for a while.
Take the foil wrap off.
One or more should be wet.
