Morimoto Ballast Install

I just got my Morimoto ballast kit from The Retrofit Source based on all the positive comments on this board.

I was inclined to go with the cheaper product at first, but don't really want to take the car apart again if something fails.

I need suggestions for the following:

1. How to thread the connector. Looks like I am going to cut open the back of the light ... where and how?

2. Where do I mount the ballast?

Post pictures of what exactly you bought. All the connectors and what not.

Thanks ... I figured it out. I'm going to use a 1 1/2 inch hole saw to drill a new hole just to the side of the low beam. That should do the trick.

Second question:

Should I sell my old ballasts on eBay? One works and the other one doesn't. I was thinking about putting the ballasts and igniters up separately to see what happens.

You never know. Not everybody goes through the trouble of researching these things. If I get $50 for them I'll be happy and for a buyer it's still cheaper than the junkyard.
