Moon roof rattle - annoying
Hi,
Recently my 2002 Acura TL started developing rattling sound from the moon-roof. I am not sure what is causing this. When I opened the moon roof I can see that the drain channel is moving slightly. I am not sure whether the drain channel should be moving a bit and that is causing the rattle noise. I read in the forums with regard to applying silicon spray or putting a tape. I am not sure where to apply the tape. Anyone has a picture of the fix done by the dealer?
Thanks.

The teflon tape goes between the rubber moonroof seal and the roof opening. Take some armorall or silicone spray and wipe the rubber seal on the moon roof with it and see if that takes care of it.

Mine rattles only after closing it from the tilted position. If I slide it back, then close it, the rattle is gone. Any ideas? The whole mechanism probably needs a good cleaning and lubricating anyways.

Don't forget about the two phillips head screws that anchor the interior light to the overhead map light area. Remove the lens and they are there. Sometimes noises one may think is coming from the sunroof actually is associated with those being loose.
