Angry mod with headlights gone wrong, what do i do?

So i read one of these DIY mods. i blacked out my head lights. i had to put them in the oven, open them up, and then close them back up.

its been raining for 4 days straight in ny, and water got into the headlight some how. when i use the blinker, it works, wen i use the high beam it works. the only thing that doesnt work is the xneon light.

so this is my question, if somethings work can it be the bulb that just fried? or is it possible that the HID generator burned out. if so what should i do.

thanks for your help guys.

dont panic, the same thing happened to me. i pulled out the stock hid unit and replaced them with an aftermarket for about 80 bucks. you can try to repair the ballast by taking it apart and cleaning out the electronics board, once the ballast gets wet it doesn't work. doesnt always work but its worth a try. you will need to seal up the headlights better with some silicone. if you need detailed instructions just let me know via pm. after i fixed mine they work great and no leaks.

I did mine without running into any water problems....However, like Gold said, try taking apart the ballast...
Did it happen on both lamps, or just one?

The flatish metal box with the yellow warning sticker on the back of the assembly

I am not saying that, but I'd start there....If it is only the ballast, then all you spent is a little bit of time rather than a new bulb or a new ballast....So start little, and then continue on as neccesary.

as in every hid problem thread on here suggests. switch parts from side to side one part at a time till you figure what works and doesnt. Its so easy
