Misaimed headlight

Misaimed headlight
I put a new driver's side headlight in a 2002 3.2TL and it seems like it is aimed too low, and too far to the left.
I wrapped the metal clip around the light assembly the same way it appeared to me that it came off, but I did not notice it "clicking in" or locking in any way that I would definitively know that it was in correctly.
Could I have installed it wrong? Or would the whole light assembly be off? (I wouldn't know if it was off before my light replacement as I just got the car, and the lamp was out when I got it).

well i know that there is an adjustment screw on them that will adjust up and down for sure. I am not sure about left to right though. I would would take it back out check everything again and then see where i stood but thats just me

so the original bulb was missing?
the external electrode on the new bulb- which way did you put it
iirc it goes on top- anyone with recent change remember for sure?
or look at the other bulb on your car to see
Note that bulbs should be replaced in PAIRS - you are going to notice a differance in brightness and color between them

ok - i didnt remember which way the bulb went
The metal arm clip goes in and then sideways0 then slips up into a locked position
Go back and see if its right- try needle nose pliers for reach
If the bulbs not seated properly---
was the aim good before this?
If not- there is an adjuster- look straight down the back of the headlight housing- see the metal wheel at the end of the plastic v groove? a + screwdriver fits on top of that and turns it to raise or lower the aim

fixed...I think.
Went back and checked and the wire clip seemed to be holding fine. Also found the aiming screw you were talking about. So I pulled it close to a wall and turned the screw until the light shining on the wall matched the passenger side(hopefully I was on level ground). I know this probably isn't 100% acurate, but I think it should be better. Hopefully it fixed the right to left issues too(which may have been just because it was aimed too low). Thanks for you help!
