I replaced my regular map lights with LED ones yesterday. Now when I open the door, the map lights does not come on. Out of curiosity, I plug the old bulbs back to see if it works, Nope did not anymore.

I have replaced the 7.5 amp fuse in the passenger fuse box and still nothing.. btw it does come on when I push the on off switch, that part is working fine. It does not come on when I open my door.

Any Ideas?????

 

Do the lights work with the buttons?

 

Mine do not come on with the dome light- I think that's normal. Wish they did tho.

yes it works with the buttons. The map lights should light up when the doors open. It does not now. Any ideas on how to fix this??

 

i dont think my map lights ever came on with the doors open, just the dome light.

yea it did, maybe i have be imagining the last 8 years of ownership. Anyone with a 2001 TL can answer??

 

Must be modded, share the mod.

 

if u want then to turn on you just have to cut some wires and run them to the map lights, but than again i hate dealing with wires or almost any thing electrical

Over 4 years ago, apparently it went the wayside !

 

I don't ever remember map light come on with dome. only dome light come on when door open. sound like new project coming up.

 

Yes - it does NOT come on when the doors open. you have to Mod it.
