My Malfunction Indicator Lamp light came on and I got nervous because I thought it was some sort of check engine light but when i got home i pulled out my manual to see what that light was, only to realize it's some emissions crap (I'm by no means some tree hugger so it would take me to choke on my fumes to go get it looked at ) anyways a few questions guys

1. How do I reset the light (I looked in the manual but didn't quite understand how to reset it)
2. What is the check engine light
~is it only the Maintenance Req'd light? What is that light that everyone sees come on only to have their tranny fall out the next day!


p.s. guys i was only kidding about the fumes thing, if you are a tree hugger then please don't be upset!

 

it is the maintenance indicator light.

turn the car off.
hold down the select and reset buttons.
start the car while holding down the buttons..

hold them down for about 10 seconds.
the light should go out
