Maintenance Required Light Flashing when I start up, but goes away a few seconds afterwards... It usually flashes at start up but I noticed it flashes longer before going away... so it makes me worried, Does this mean that I have to do maintenance on the car soon......... I changed oil myself recently.....

How do I clear this.... Or do I have to wait until the light stays on to clear it...

I hope this doesn't mean nothing major is wrong.........

as most people will probably tell you, the search feature works wonders

 

Its a simple DIY reset- it counts towards 7500 miles from reset- about 6500 it starts to flash 3 times at startup- getting more insistant more flashes closer to 7500
Have a read of the owner manual for all the operating info and tips- the seat heat- traction control and transmission SS manual shift modes all need to be understood before use

for this fix-
key In ignition- reach left hand THRU steering wheel= press and HOLD both trip odometer buttons- With right hand- turn key to ON but not to start
About 10 seconds and flashing of light stops- you are reset-
remove hand remove key

 

for your next diy- change the cabin air filter! 20 minutes DIY
it does wonders for your health for under 20 bucks for the good filter with micro allergen protection-

all the cabin air comes thru this little filter (2 side by side filters) and its supposed to get replaced every year!!!
