without watching the vid-

we use left hand thru top of steering wheel -push and hold BOTH trip buttons in
with right hand turn key to ON- not start just on
mait light will flash approx 10 times and go out
remove hands and keys
Done

approx 6000-6500 miles later it starts blinking at startup- then gets more insistant and finally comes on solid at 7500
its NOTHING but a mileage minder ,,since last reset

we dont have a `tune up light`
the cel and other lights come on at startup to self test systems, then go off

When you drive off, the ABS runs two test that make noise as well

the 01 doesnt have `auto tilt down in reverse mirrors` like gen3
(possibly on later gens 2 than my 01- dont know)

the ABS self test are at 5 and 15 mph iirc, they occur pretty fast as you drive off- thunk-thunk and done
Anyone know if it self test in reverse, or only forward motion?

the mini drum brakes that act as our park brakes do self adjust, but need clean and lube of the system,, which is rarely done--
same as old cars drum brakes just miniature and inside the rear rotor hub

started to make sounds a couple weeks ago now its just got worse..my steering is makeing noises sqeeking when i turn left or right and when the car goes up and down. from the sound of it.. sounds like the upper control arm. on my drivers side only. i poped the hood today my p.s was low so i put some in it accident filled it all the way a little about the maximum line was like ol noo. lol put the cap back on and rode off to work. i need a lay out of the suspension but cant find a blue print of the car. and is confused about what it is hahaha. its McPherson? or double wishbone?
