Loose headlights??

does anyones headlights bounce up and down when u hit a bump at night? The beams jump up and down like the headlights are loose. i have a 02 tl-s . The dealer gave me new headlights but not bulbs, still same problem!! they look like when i hit a hard enough bump there loose , i checked the lights and there in there fine. dealer said it could be the springs holding the bulbs r bad, so they replaced both headlights.

If the bulbs are properly inserted and the spring is in place to hold the light bulb, there can't be any reason why they would act like that. Unless of course the whole housing is loose, but that is unlikely.

Because of the sharp HID light cutoff at the top of the light range, it may seem like they are boucing but no more than the car itself. Perhaps you might check your front struts and springs to make sure they are ok.

If you drive over a rippled road it will really seem like they are loose. This is normal and happens because of the sharp cutoff at the top of the headlight pattern.

I thought the same thing when I first got mine. I took it back to the dealer and they re-grounded my headlights. When I hit a hard bump, sometimes I notice the lights somewhat "flicker" for maybe a .10 of a second. I always thought that was strange

I've noticed it too, only it happens even when I hit small bumps. I've replaced the bulbs, but not difference. It's really annoying. I've checked to make sure everything is nice and snug, including the spring holding the bulb in place. Everything appears OK. Any info would be great!
